Considering she knows so much about me it was about time to have my hairstylist on the podcast. I met Haley a few years ago when I wanted to get extensions and she was about to take off. And by take off I mean leave the salon she was at and then be harassed by her old boss for taking clients with her. She may have done the right thing by giving her 2 weeks, but well, we'll let the voicemail tell the rest. Ya'll know I love receipts so I'm very proud Haley is a lover of having everything in writing. She may be 23 be Haley was ready to embrace the Live2Dye way of life so much so that she's even had to put a warrant out for someone who tried to steal from her. What is it about getting your hair done that you just spill the beans about everything? Your stylist becomes like a therapist and best friend over the course of 3 hours easily. And let's get real, it's not the hideous capes we have to wear because that is when my guard is at my lowest! Haley has gone Tik Tok viral quite a few times and manages to piss some people off, but always stands her ground. The internet toll section is vast! We talk tattoos, Jasper the doll, and snakes in couches. But don't worry we find our back to discussing me going copper, and what we should do to my hair next! Not to mention the pros and cons to extensions and what does sunscreen have to do with them? Haley is such a great resource to follow for all things hair related, not to mention so sweet and funny. I know you'll want to give her a follow after this episode! 

Tom Talks

So picture this: I'm up late one night scrolling on Tik Tok and finally get off conspiracy-tok and on to real estate-tok when I see one of my Facebook friends Tom Jung! Not only is Tom a Realtor and new father, but a podcaster! I had to send him a message after seeing his videos and get him on Corks in Cowtown. This episode was actually our first time meeting and yearbooks were even involved! We dive into our love of Fort Worth and discuss our want for a Fort Worth events directory. I mean seriously if we all just banded together we could do it. Selfishly I wanted Tom to come chat because well I'm looking for a house. Or a rental property. Or land. Decisions are hard. I have a lot on my mind so we bounce around the options, and talk $$$. You really do just flip a switch one day and start talking about the weather and interest rates and insurance. I still have a lot of questions and know you'll all have good ones to share after this episode, so Tom already agreed to come back. Plus, I have to introduce him to the PodSquad! So anyways, who wants me to be their neighbor?

Behind The Beef

I'm back after a short break and I sure missed ya'll! So much so that my first guest back had to be the R.A.P Podcast because drama was requested and I'm here to make ya'll happy! We dive in talking all things Kanye West, mental health, and loyalty in the hip-hop scene.
This is only the second time I've met Johnny and Jay post Podcasts & PBR and they've come onto the podcast scene ready to stir the pot. And who am I to not encourage that? You may find yourself asking...Robyn, who is the beef with though?! And I'll tell you this. It's not the girls. The boys are fighting. If the girls were fighting we'd have a problem because honestly we are scary together when we love each other.
Is this podcast beef real? Is it clickbait? And what do overalls have to do with it? There have been recent talks of putting gloves on, but I feel like most things could be settled with a round of beer-lympics! Am I the drama? I definitely help stir the pot on this one as one of eldest podcasts in the funk. But let's get real it's all love for the pod squad, teasing is a love language right?

Mom On A Mission

Thanks to Tractor Supply and PBR I had the opportunity to interview Dana Aviles in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards before her return to the world of team roping. First and foremost Dana is a mom, and a dedicated one at that. Dana is making her return to the western world at 51, and maybe a little nervous. California has been home and where she's focused on raising her kids who are also in the industry and they helped encourage her return. Dana is truly putting her faith on display by allowing her team roping partner to be someone she doesn't really know. I'm telling ya'll the Womens Rodeo ladies are something special. Drive and determination are a huge factor in making this return and while Dana remains incredibly humble I want her to know what an absolute badass she is. She might be from California, but I feel like she'd fit in Texas perfectly so I obviously have to but the idea in her head. Dana is a perfect example of not letting your age or circumstance be a factor in following something you are passionate about. And I just know that mindset alone will take her far, and be an asset in raising her kids.

Cool Whip’s Mom

PBR World Finals are back in Fort Worth and I had the honor of meeting Staci Addison who is a stock contractor and "Mom" to the top ranked bull with a 98% buckoff rate! Not only is Staci super easy to talk to, but she is beyond passionate about this sport and gives credit where it's due. Staci is the embodiment of what a mom should be, often telling her very large child "I love you no matter what.” Staci let me know she's more of a stage mom these days and lets her partner do the flanking. They are also hosting an event soon which not only includes a massive table charcuterie, but bull riding and a river float! Staci is one of those people you could talk to for hours about anything and you can tell she loves what she does. Make sure to give this episode a listen and give her a follow, I'm trying to figure out a way to meet Cool Whip and sneak him a treat!

TX Whiskey Ranch

Podcasts & PBR is only days away, Wednesday May 10th at Cowtown Coliseum! Which goes to show how large events and tourism really do affect our city. National Travel and Tourism Week starts May 7-13 so it was only right to bring in a guest who knows something about both, Robin Bangert. Not only is Robin a friend who happens to have an amazing name, but she may have just turned me back into a whiskey drinker. She's been a part of Fort Worth's TX Whiskey Ranch for awhile now so she may be a familiar face if you've visited before. Robin made me a DELISH espresso martini WITH TX...You'll have to listen for the recipe. She shares upcoming events and what really makes TX Whiskey special, besides its stunning location. Not to mention we have come up with a few new event ideas you'll appreciate! Make sure to add TX Whiskey Ranch to your list of local date nights or places to visit soon. Your Finest Chicken Tendies

Do ya'll know about the drama in the Fort Worth food scene? SHEESH. There is a lot going on so I had to have my friend Angie on as a fellow "foodie" to get her perspective on who will last and who won't. Does Fort Worth have a diverse food scene or do we play it safe? And how about Fort Worth staples that are overlooked or forgotten? Not to mention a certain city council member APPARENTLY only eats chicken tenders. I wonder what sauce though...More French cuisine is making its way to Fort Worth, and hopefully a certain pup doesn't make a mess at this establishment. Angie and I discuss why it's important to try foods you don't like again, and what do you put on your hot dog? This episode will definitely have a part 2 because we barely scratched the surface.

HOLY what

Back again with another unscripted conversation that quickly has a mind of its own. This week I'm joined in studio with Jesus and Lyrical from TFTI. You haven't seen them on Uncorked yet but it's coming. I stopped by CasaRita for recording cocktails and they maybe to blame for this episode bouncing around. Podcasts & PBR is coming back for round 2 this year! So save the date for Wednesday, May 10th at Cowtown Coliseum. We have some actual surprises in store from PBR as well. Come find out if I mean the beer or bull riding for yourself! Have we all collectively had a bad Buffalo Wild Wings experience? Also, the ice cream machine at McDonalds, we have beef. I ask the guys what it's like being dads and how they are trying to break generational curses: since we all have childhood trauma. These boys are the source for movie and music news so I had to ask if they had heard about CERN. (Thanks Daddy Paul) Little did we know my curiosity of multiverses in movies, and potentially real life would lead to a conversation none of us prepared for. Regardless of your opinion I encourage you to listen to this full episode (yes it's longer than most) and focus on how we are able to listen to each other. Ask questions. And respect each others opinions. I know it's 2023, but it is possible to keep an open mind these days, and more importantly and open heart.

The Good, Bad and Freaky

I'm in my happy things - positive girl era, and ya'll just want tea and drama. But I love ya'll so guess what, you got it. First I'm frustrated by people still using others for personal gain, and people being held accountable. And I really want ya'lls thoughts on this and why you don't speak up in scenarios. A local influencer has re-emerged after a brief hiatus and guess what, they still haven't changed their ways. I'd share the name but it's just so not worth it. If you have TikTok I'd suggest searching Fort Worth, because my gosh there is some drama at city council meetings. Do you think we could take cocktails inside? One council member has major drama surrounding them but it seems like all the "little" things keep getting swept under the rug. However, this just tells them that they'll be allowed to continue getting away with more if not stopped. Remember what I said about recognizing patterns? Our mayor walked out of meeting, does that make the city look weak? Oh yeah, and ya'll remember Sundance Square...well start looking for more cameras and not where you think. 
Finally Daddy Paul joins me in studio and ya'll had some questions for him and they did not disappoint. Plus, we go down a TikTok rabbit hole that leaves me incredibly disturbed. And finally I talk about upcoming events and things that have made me happy recently. Followed by some realizations because ya'll know I love making things relatable for everyone. The Funky Corks Forever

Well it's the trio no one asked for but everybody needs! The pod squad trinity of Robyn, Chad and Jourdyne! Did we do brunch before this episode, yep, and did we continue brunch cocktails in studio with Daddy Paul, YEP! Of course the distraction and roasting of each other starts early and really we fill you in on what all of us have been up to together. Yes, we're actually friends and hangout outside of just recording. So much so that we went to Mexico and Broken Bow together! Have ya'll heard about BORGS? What size bag do you take for a weekend trip? I really need ya'll to watch: CUNK on Earth, because it might have been the cocktails but I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time!
